We are working with the lighting community to develop a series of articles that speak to the benefit of better lighting.
Every time a luminaire manufacturer or installer is forced to sell on price instead of on quality, everyone loses: the manufacturer sacrifices margins; the facility owner sacrifices energy savings; and occupant the sacrifices visual comfort.
We need decision-makers to understand, in lighting, you get what you pay for. We are working with the lighting community to help get the word out to facility owners.
As part of our initiative, we believe is a trend within lighting design. For various reasons – from computer aided design and sensors, to improved lenses, reflectors and LEDs – lighting designers have a degree of optical control as never before, that allows them to precisely put the light where – and when – they want. This transition away from uniformity results in energy savings, personal choice for the end-user and a better quality of light and visual comfort.
