Do retailer’s customers appreciate the installation solar hot water in their facilities? And if so, how can a retail establishment quantify the PR benefits of installing earth-friendly systems?

As part of a larger research project, Eneref Institute interviewed numerous retail businesses owners who had recently installed solar hot water systems to offset fossil fuel costs. What we found, was that although the businesses traded in completely different products and services, the positive value and good will each business owner reported as a result of installing solar hot water systems was overwhelmingly positive and surprisingly similar….Download complete pdf

Once you’ve installed a solar heating system on the roof of a commercial building, don’t leave the property without stepping back to look up at the light fixtures. Chances are you could make a very sizable sales commission if you know what to look for.

What our research has shown, over and over, is that the typical commercial customer who is willing to spend money on a solar heating system, will also dole out cash to upgrade his light fixtures. Sometimes the lighting is done in advance of the solar heating system.
